Long-document consistency
Read for consistency across the whole thesis. A method term introduced in Chapter 3 should not shift in Chapter 6. A figure renamed during revision should match the contents list, caption, and in-text callout.
Submission boundaries
A proofreader can flag unclear language and visible inconsistencies, but the author remains responsible for data accuracy, research claims, ethics statements, permissions, and institutional requirements. Proofreading does not guarantee an examination result.
